The first week of April typically beings a worldly amount of transformations as the Spring season begins. This year, however, was like no other in that its first days would become potentially one the most transformative and insightful weeks for multiple industries and more than 30,000 people — or at least for me. The week began with the Bitcoin Unleashed conference taking place over the course of April 5th & 6th, and following it would be Bitcoin 2022 all taking place in Miami, Florida.
Bitcoin Unleashed was packed full of outstanding speakers, and Bitcoin-focused programming ranging from keynotes & panels to live demos and technical workshops, on everything from decentralized finance (DeFi) to gaming (GameFi), non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and Crypto Cities (CityCoins), DAOs, infrastructure improvements, stacking, venture capital (+Bitcoin Odyssey), & much more.
The conversations during the event were separated into four core themes:
- Save and Earn on Stacks (STX)
- Invest & Launch on Stacks (STX)
- Spend and Share on Stacks (STX)
- Trade & Finance on Stacks (STX)
The event helped provide an incredibly collaborative environment for anyone, regardless of industry, education or ecosystem focus the ability to come together to lay the groundwork for the future of Bitcoin innovation. Now only a few days after, I’m still processing all the excitement and innovative ideas that steamed from those two packed days. I, fortunately, had the honor of not only speaking during the event (“An Odyssey Begins: Cash to Create on Bitcoin”) but also hosting the entire two days — both of which I’m grateful for and acted as a mini springboard of inspiration.
